Corrosion Resistance
Both materials provide excellent resistance to pitting corrosion, crevice corrosion, and stress corrosion cracking.
However, Super Duplex 2507 has a higher PREN value (above 40), while Duplex 2205 typically has a PREN around 35.
This makes 2507 more suitable for highly corrosive environments, especially seawater applications.
